WHAT IS THE GENESIS TAPES
The Genesis Tapes is a web3 platform that pays homage to legendary producers of hip hop. Many times we find that producers of some of the greatest hip hop on the planet, remain unheard of and unrecognized. We here at the Genesis Tapes are calling attention to the Dj's, producers, and beat makers of some of the dopest MC's to ever touch a microphone. We are proudly commemorating these legends in the flesh via collectible NFT's that depict and tell their story (the producers) from the other side of the mic booth.
WHAT'S IN STORE FOR THE GENESIS TAPES
Volume 1 centers around the legends behind the legends of Tupac Shakur and Mac Dre. The Genesis Tapes is producing 8 individual NFT Projects centering around the producers of these two Bay Area rap legends. Each NFT project will involve one producer and tell their story via collectible generative NFT art. The artists we have tapped to create the art for each NFT project are remarkable in their own right.
The Genesis Tapes Mixtape
Each producer will be dropping new beats for our mixtape upon conclusion of Volume 1. We will be holding art, music, and rap contests in our discord for all of our holders to potentially be featured alongside mainstream artists and be included in the Genesis Tapes mixtape. The end result will be one of the dopest full length mixtape albums ever created and dropped as an NFT. It will feature mainstream artists, our NFT holder contest winners, and production done entirely by legends in the hip hop world. All holders of any of our NFT's, at completion (sold out) of all 8 projects, will be receiving multiple copies of the Genesis Tapes Mixtape Volume One to add to their respective NFT collections. We also have many other fun surprises within the art that will be announced as we get closer to drop dates.
The Genesis Tapes Supports P.L.A.Y. Marin With A Vision For A Better Future
A minimum of 10% of every project will be contributed to P.L.A.Y. Marin which is a non-profit focused on integrating youth from various socioeconomic backgrounds to learn and grow together through play. Run by Paul Austin, a true pillar of the community in Marin City, it is our combined vision to create a learning lab to teach the community about web3, cyber security, and jobs of tomorrow. It is our goal to bridge the financial gap in society and level the playing field for underserved communities throughout America.

Each one of these NFT's was hand drawn by the legend himself SKAM2?. Skam is not only one of the illest art moguls in the hip hop industry he is also quite a dope MC and has appeared on tracks with many platinum recording artists. His long list of hip hop art includes album covers for Eminem, A Tribe Called Quest, Dizzy Wright, and countless others. He is also the man that brought you the Drink Champs logo- one of the dopest hip hop podcasts out today.

A collection of 1989 hand drawn unique characters. With over 300 rarity traits, consisting of different eyes, glasses, hair styles, facial expressions, backgrounds, hats, shirts, jackets, chains and pendants each Posse member is unique.
